He scooted himself forward yesterday but I didn't have the video camera. I will try and get a video of it today. For now, enjoy these videos:

6 months
I can't believe that half a year ago this sweet boy entered my life.
6 month stats:
Length: 28 inches - 90%
Weight: 18 lbs 14 oz. - 75%
Austin is still a BIG boy! Everyone that sees him thinks that he is much older than he truly is.
I also forgot to inform you all that he has teeth! That's right, more than one. His first tooth cut through on June 3rd, just before he turned 5 months. The second one popped right on through three weeks later. When I told the doctor that he already had 2 teeth he was so surprised. Then, he gave me this sweet nugget - "He will probably have 4 more by his next appointment." I don't want to deal with 4 teeth in 3 months! I hope that he is not right.
Also, he can sit completely unsupported! It is so fun to watch him change and grow during this point in life. He also has turned into quite the talker. He just babbles to himself all the time.
He rolls over from his back to his belly, but he won't keep rolling across the room. Instead he prefers to lay on his tummy and try to crawl. Him trying to crawl means flailing his arms and legs at the same time balancing on his big tummy. It is so funny to watch him, but after a while you have to help him or he gets too frustrated.
Here are some other things Austin can do:
- Go to sleep on his own when he is wide awake when you put him in the crib. It also takes less than 5 minutes!
-Eat solid foods twice a day
-Sleep on his tummy
-Sleep for 12 hours straight at night
-give high fives!
-rotate in his crib - however, this can be a disadvantage because he gets stuck on the sides or top or in a corner and can't get unstuck ;)
-stick his feet in his mouth - especially when he is supposed to be sitting up so he just folds in half
-turn the pages of a book if I pull it apart from the other pages
-give kisses
-suck out of a straw
-pick up food with his fingers - almost has the pincher grasp down
I am so lucky that he has been apart of our family for the past six months.
